We join the rest of the world in celebrating the International Day of the Rural Women to recognize their critical role and contribution in enhancing agriculture and the development of their communities and leading in eradicating rural poverty. Despite their doggedness and dedication to enhancing the agricultural value chain, rural women still suffer inequity in agricultural trade and services and are most affected by our rapidly changing climate. Forcing them to move and making life harder for those already displaced by flood, draughts, and insecurity.
